Vegan Hot Chocolate

Jump to Recipe

This vegan hot chocolate recipe is creamy, frothy, sweet, and chocolatey – without added sugars and dairy!

How to Make this Vegan Hot Chocolate

First, soak cashews in water overnight or in boiling hot water for 10 minutes. Then, drain the cashews and add them to a small blender (I use a Magic Bullet). Add the raw cacao powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and water to the blender. Adjust the amount of maple syrup to your desired sweetness level.

Blend for a few minutes until completely smooth and frothy.

Pour it into a saucepan over medium heat and cook until hot, stirring occasionally. If you want to save time, simply pour it into a mug and heat it up in the microwave for one minute.

Top with coconut whipped cream and more cacao powder!
